| ABOUT US HISTORY Distinctive Gardens formed as an s-corporation in 1998 and opened in the spring of 1999. College classmates and friends, Bud LeFevre and Jim Brown joined forces to form the business whose objective was to carry hard to find plants and unique gifts. In 2001, Lisa Higby joined the partnership and helped elevate the business to a new level. Over the last several years, Distinctive Gardens has grown with the addition of a third greenhouse, more display gardens, a pavilion for events, and numerous community activities and fund raisers. The goal always to share in our passion for plants and offer a unique destination for garden-lover's. As a result, we've met the coolest people along the way.
