| ART PARTNERING W/ AREA BUSINESSES and THE ART COMMUNITY As far as we're concerned art and gardening go hand in hand. We know many gardener's who are artist's both in the studio and in the flower bed, and likewise, many artist's find themselves in the garden for inspiration. For several years now we've co-opted time and resources with area businesses, such as, Trein's Jewelry, The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe, JSalon, and Tangibles, along with a slew of area artists and Dixon High School to expose the area's art community to the public. CRYSTAL CORK ART QUARTERLY Located within The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe, the Crystal Cork Art Quarterly (CCAQ) is a visual arts venue offering quarterly exhibitions by area and regional artists. Photos. SECOND SATURDAYS ART HAPPENINGS Second Saturdays is a monthly cultural event in downtown Dixon, Illinois. Every second Saturday, from 6-8 p.m., downtown businesses and organizations host a variety of art happenings such as visual artist work, musical performances, theatrical skits, poetry readings, and more.
