transformed by Dixon Highschool's Ms.
Kastello’s three advanced art classes.
'Artificial Obsolescence and Hope' is a
project devised to illustrate current trends
in society and to suggest hopeful
solutions.  The front half of the grounds will
detail the Current Trends segment of the
project  The back half will be home for the
Hope side of the art installation.

The project is being documented with a
blog.  You can check it out at
DHS art final

"Artificial Obsolescence
& Hope"
Art opening, May 26th
This blog will be used to track the process of Dixon Highschool’s three advanced art classes as they develop their final art
projects for the Spring of 2006.   These art projects will be installed here at Distinctive Gardens in Dixon, IL.  There will be an art
opening on Friday, May 26th from 6-8 pm.  Light refreshments will be served.  Entertainment will be provided by 'Flying Fish'.  We
hope you will make it out.  This project is sponsored by Distinctive Gardens. Vargas Collision Center sandblasted and primed the
garden chairs for the 'Chair' project.  Allied Lock supplied the chain link for the 'Tree Jewelry' project.  If you see these folks out
and about  tell them they are the best and Thank You!  Best of all, tell those creative kids at DHS they are awesome!
