Imagine a day with a temperature that's above 45 degrees! It's a case of the little
weather pattern that could.... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. Perhaps it can
make it up to the norms for this time of year! The weather has dampened the
spring gardening spirits, but we push on!
The gift shop is full of unusual gifts, art, and home decor. We found a bent wood
furniture maker in southern Illinois with exquisitely crafted rocker's, lamps, and
chairs.
Come check out the greenhouses. They are brimming with beautiful plants that
are getting to that perfect, ''take me home'' size.
New this year we'll have an expanded selection of tomatoes and peppers. They
come in all colors. And again for all you fire-breather's, we'll have the world's
hottest pepper, "Bhut jolokia".
Mark your calendars, Spring Open House is Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and
4th. We'll have food, door prizes, and loads of cool plants.
