| PHOTOS LANDSCAPING CONTAINER GARDENING GIFT GALLERY PAVILION FESTIVALS ART ODDS N ENDS Second Saturdays Art Happenings is a monthly cultural event in downtown Dixon, Illinois. Every second Saturday, from 6-8 p.m., downtown businesses and organizations host a variety of art happenings such as visual artist work, musical performances, theatrical skits, poetry readings, and more. Second Saturdays is organized by a core cooperative of local artists, Hope Greene, Rick Munson, John DeLong, Lisa Higby LeFevre; and local businesses, The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe, Trein’s Jewelry, JSalon, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Tangibles and Distinctive Gardens. Together they aim to enliven the downtown and get people out walking to see what’s going on in their cultural community.
